Funding
The Texas Pythian Home, Inc. is a 501 c3 not-for-profit organization. The home receives no state or federal funds. Through the years of service, an endowment has been established. The Home operates each month from the interest of the endowment. The Knights of Pythians and Pythian Sisters have always been supportive of the Home financially. A Portion of the annual dues of Pythians goes toward the operation of the Home.
A majority of support comes from businesses, organizations, churches, and private individuals. It is their generosity that has allowed the Home to continue operating. We receive assistance not only financially, but also with the contribution of goods, material, and services. The Pythian Home accepts almost any type of donation.
There are several specific programs that are available to assist financially. One is by sending a memorial for a loved one that has passed on. This contribution goes into the endowment; therefore, it is a gift that keeps on giving. Another form of remembering someone is by giving “in honor” of that person. The Pythian Home acknowledges the gift to the donor as well as the person being honored.
The next program is our Kash-4-Kids. It is a simple decision to give a designated amount to the Home every month. These are the contributions we count on monthly to cover the month’s expenditures.
Other areas that you could help would be remembering the Pythian Home in your wills and bequests. This is the largest means by witch the Home has increased the endowment. A person may also choose to do a living trust.
There are numerous ways an individual could assist. It is through the generosity of others that the Home is able to continue their operations.
